Welcome to a new school year at J.D. Parks Elementary School. We are excited to partner with you! Our goal at Parks is to provide an exemplary education for all students in a kind, safe environment. Here at Parks, our staff, believes -All Means All- or rather every child will achieve academic success!

As we work together throughout the year, I encourage you to stay connected with your child's teacher. Through a collaborative partnership, open communication and a commitment to continuous improvement, Parks will continue to be a school where each child is challenged, nurtured and provided with a safe and stimulating learning experience.

I'd love to share a little bit about myself. I started my teaching career in Pasadena ISD at Jensen Elementary and then at South Belt Elementary where I taught first grade. I also served as a Literacy Instructional Coach while at South Belt before moving to the administration building where I worked in the Curriculum and Instruction Department as an Instructional Specialist and Reading Coordinator. It has been my honor to serve our Parks community since 2021 as Principal and to be a part of this tremendous group of outstanding professionals who are committed to excellence. I am grateful for the leadership of the principals who have come before me to help make our school the special place it is today. Thank you for trusting me with your child.
